Mike Edel Showcases The Beauty of Morocco In Video For “Hello Universe”
Back in March, Canadian-born/Seattle-based indie rock songwriter Mike Edel shot the colourful new music video for his latest single “Hello Universe” over the course of 5 days in Morocco. COVID-19 was picking up speed, and Edel and his filmmaker Jordan Clarke almost didn’t make it home.
“It was a whirlwind video shoot and I connected through Paris,” says Edel. “A little French macaroon lady told me I was lucky I was flying today because the European/USA borders were closing tomorrow.”
But despite the situation, “Hello Universe” lets go of the stress and instead provides a stunning backdrop for a feel-good summer anthem. Catchy hooks and full-bodied guitars and synthesizers blast through as Edel sings “we’ve got what we need underneath these stars”.
