Sylvan Esso Announces New Album; Shares Colourful Video For “Ferris Wheel”
After teasing the “What If” clip on Friday, indie electro-pop duo Sylvan Esso have followed up with the announcement of their new album Free Love, which will be out September 25th. Once again the duo of Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn create symbiotic pop music that explores the more complicated and complex emotions of human life.
From the upcoming collection is the lead single “Ferris Wheel”, a charismatic and nostalgic take on a budding romance in the summer heat. Filmed during the pandemic at an abandoned amusement park, the new video for “Ferris Wheel” compliments the band’s stripped down yet colourful songwriting. The vibrancy in each bouncing chord is matched with the neon lights of a ferris wheel, as Meath sings overtop a glittering dance track.
