Port Cities Share Break-Up Anthem “I Still See You At Parties”

Hailing from Halifax, Port Cities teamed up with longtime friend and collaborator Emma-Lee in a Nashville writing room to bring “I Still See You At Parties” to life. Born out of a discussion about a recent breakup that Port Cities member Dylan  Guthro was working through, this isn’t your typical breakup ballad.

The song is a bubbly tune with earthy acoustic touches that effortlessly acknowledges that there are always lingering feelings when you see someone in person after a relationship has ended. Speaking to the song, the goal was “…to capture the feeling of running into an ex-lover who you have a complicated past with, but we wanted to approach it in a light-hearted way.”

With an upbeat tempo and bright vocals, “I Still See You At Parties” can lead you to imagine the exact scenario that the lyrics speak to: “It’s only you / here in this crowded room / I know you feel it too / both broken hearted / that’s why it’s hard when I still see you at parties”. It’s not hard to imagine it playing in the background as you see your ex across the room at a party.
