UK Alt-Rockers Blue Stragglers Release Double-Header Ahead of Upcoming Debut EP
After dropping the Blur-meets-Royal Blood single “All Mine” earlier this summer, Horsham (a town between Brighton and London)-based up-and-comers Blue Stragglers have kept the momentum going with a pair of crushing new singles “Late at a Festival” and “She”, both of which will be on their upcoming debut self-titled EP.
Feverish, loud, and melodic, the three-piece gang do their part to capture the timeless spirit of alternative rock mixing in retro inspiration from the likes of Alice in Chains, Nirvana, and the Foo Fighters with a more modern sound and production. “Late at a Festival” sweeps more into the melodic riffs of garage rock, inspired by a weekend stumbling around Dorset’s End of the Road Festival, while on the other end of the 7″ comes the fuzz-pop “She”, written about the unforgettable “one that got away”.
Listen to both tracks below and stay tuned for Blue Straggler’s self-titled debut EP out September 4th.
