Ghostemane Shares Face-Melting Industrial Track “Lazaretto”
Industrial doom rapper Ghostemane has shared his hard-hitting new single “Lazaretto”, the first look from his upcoming collection ANTI-ICON, out on October 21st. Combining the aggressive genres of doom, Southern rap, metal, and goth, “Lazaretto” comes out as a bass-crunching re-imagination of the nu-metal sounds of KORN, Slipknot, and Southern phonk-rap of Machine Gun Kelly.
The timbre of chains rattling matches the slamming guitar and bass instrumentation, while shockwave percussion builds a powerful speaker-shaking foundation. Adding to Ghostemane’s Rob Zombie-meets-Marilyn Manson aesthetic comes the terrifying music video accompaniment, featuring masked musicians and Mickey Mouses’ evil twin in an abandoned factory.
