Solo Metalcore Artist Heliocentric Shares Fast-Firing Track “Antithesis”

Jared Smith is the mind and hands behind metalcore act HELIOCENTRIC. His dense, riff-heavy sound is exciting and impressive, as he is a one-man band with production duties tacked on. His vigorous sound is matched with lyrics and stories based around religion and its history, turning long-serving tales into bone-crushing metal.

His upcoming album Ishmael will be out in 2021, and his latest single “Antithesis” is final piece to be shared ahead of its release. Melodically visceral, the new track rips through interchanging time signatures and hybrid vocals from Smith that flow seamlessly from clean to scream. Bands like Within The Ruins, After The Burial, and other melodic deathcore groups come to mind as “Antithesis” hits its peak for the final breakdown.

Alongside the release, HELIOCENTRIC has shared a symbolism-filled music video for the track about the way in which people cling to scapegoats in order to avoid blame for their own wrong doings. Watch it below and hear more tracks like this on the “New & Loud” playlist.
