UK Punk Trio borts Celebrate The Start of 2021 With New Single “Get Sold”
With their debut full-length hitting shelves at some point in Spring 2021 via Lockjaw Records, Salisbury, UK trio borts have dropped their latest single “Get Sold”, once again igniting their rock n’ roll tenacity with an infectious punk energy.
Matching their heavy-hitting riffs and slamming instrumentation is the song’s punk mentality, as they question the concept of “selling out” after their time on a national arena tour supporting a major artist.
The band’s lead vocalist Tom explains, “A few years back, some of us went on a nationwide arena tour with a great band, and this song is about what transpired. It’s a reflection of how the whole experience made me feel and what I took from it”.
With each chorus, the band chants “Somehow this needs to get sold” overtop the fiery Green Day-esque instrumentation. The tipping scale of art vs. money is at the song’s core, and fortunately, the band made some changes to really bring out the song’s intensity. “It started off a slow rock n roll suicide clone”, continues Tom, “and then we thought, hey, that’s boring let’s play it really fast and sing it way too high for our voices instead”.
So they did, with a kick-ass result. It will be an exciting year for borts, and their debut album should be on everyone’s radar this spring.
