R&B Star Rochelle Jordan Returns With New Single “GOT EM”
Say hello to Royal Mountain Records and Young Art Records (TOKiMONSTA’s label) latest addition, Rochelle Jordan. The acclaimed R&B songstress has announced her new signing with her UK-garage style track “GOT EM”.
As her first taste of new music since her 2014 album 1021, The Toronto-based musician has made a stellar return with “GOT EM”, bringing to life the underground club scene through bouncing 808 rhythms and signature house beats. Energizing and addictive, “GOT EM” has been a few years in the works, written during Jordan’s time collaborating with artists such as Machinedrum, Jacques Greene, and J-E-T-S.
““GOT EM” is my song of Affirmation,” says Jordan. “I wrote it in 2017, a time where I had an intense epiphany about life. I started to become much more spiritually aware than I have ever been before. All the repetition in this song is my way of being able to meditate on these words of encouragement and confidence, affirm and push through. Talking my shit in the first verse, to speaking and encouraging whoever is listening in the second, I just wanted this song to seep into the veins of whoever needs to be lifted.“
