P’Tit Belliveau Shares Nostalgia-Filled Music Video for “Cool When Yer Old”
As trends come and go, it’s hard to predict what will stay in fashion, come back into fashion, or just disappear all together in time and space. Acadian musician P’tit Belliveau has some fun with the philosophical question on his new track “Cool When Yer Old”, off his latest album Greatest Hits Vol.1.
As a kid, browsing TV channels, I was constantly flooded with examples of what it was like to be “cool”, explains P’tit Belliveau, about his inspiration for the video. His outfit changes and ’90s television tributes pace well overtop the song’s bedroom synth-pop vibe. The reoccurring chorus of “will you still care about being cool when you’re old?” rounds out the Franglais track, as Belliveau switches between French and English as often as if they were articles of clothing from the ’90s.
