Swedish Lo-Fi Pop Duo King Casio Drop Feel-Good Single “Ran Out Of Sand”

London-based, Swedish-born duo King Casio have shared their new single “Ran Out Of Sand”. The pair of Aaron King and Petter Grevelius combined their talents for a dreamy and keys-driven tune inspired by the Brighton sea during lockdown.

With a dense foundation of droning tones and vocal textures, “Ran Out Of Sand” finds its subtle pep through the band’s slick vocals and jazzy piano riff. Its overall glossiness and haze makes for a perfect would-be sampled track for a hip-hop beat waiting to happen.

About its inspiration, Aaron King shares: ‘The song is a love song about friendship, the passing of time and missing how things once were. Inspired by the Brighton sea during lockdown. We self-produced this track and took a bit of inspiration from Harry Nilsson too.’

The pair are expected to release their debut album Quiet Times With King Casio next year, but for now check out “Ran Out Of Sand” below:
