Chet Faker Drops New Single & Video For “Get High”

The moniker of Chet Faker has been under wraps since Nick Murphy returned to releasing music under his own name back in 2016. While the stage name had changed, the music was still identifiably Murphy’s with the glowing electronica and psychedelic indietronica.

After reviving his Chet Faker alter ego back in October 2020, Murphy has doubled down with the jazzy new hit “Get High”. The jangling piano intro kicks things off before his rich vocals chime in, offering up a form of escapism. About the track, Murphy shares, “Sometimes you just need a break. I find myself wanting to escape just for a little while and the song sort of showed up on its own.”

Disappear into the glitchy, psychedelic visual accompaniment where paint-like textures and interweaving shots seep into Murphy’s performance from behind the piano.
