R&B artist Rochelle Jordan shares second single of 2021 “ALL ALONG”
Toronto R&B/Garage artist Rochelle Jordan made her return earlier this year with the club-ready hit “GOT EM“, alongside her announcement of her signing to Royal Mountain Records and Young Art Records (TOKiMONSTA). As her second single of the year, she has followed up with the sultry, jack swing tune “ALL ALONG”.
Rewinding into the world of ’80s hip-hop fusion and UK garage, “ALL ALONG” is a confidence-fuelled groove that Jordan initially started writing about someone special, but gradually shifted into a self-love anthem.
“As the song started to close in, I began to get this overwhelming feeling that I was actually speaking to myself”, Jordan begins. “This song felt better to me once I started hearing it as the importance of recognizing your own self as your greatest lover. It’s so easy for us to get caught up searching for someone else to fill our voids, instead of working on us in order to make ourselves whole.”
Regardless of the intended target, “ALL ALONG” is a blast from the past, making itself at home in 2021. With two singles under her belt this year already, this may be the start of her full return.
