Rising Indie Pop Artist Charlie Houston Loses Herself On “Things”

Indie pop singer/songwriter Charlie Houston is growing into her sound with each release, as the April 16th release date of her debut EP I Hate Spring inches closer. Her second single “Things” is a melancholic pop tune that puts her glossy, effortless vocals at the forefront.

On her upcoming EP, Houston provides an introspective approach as she navigates identity, mental health and sexuality, all of which come together on “Things”. She explains, “It’s sort of about becoming so infatuated with someone that you begin to lose sight of who you are. Also comparing yourself to the kind of person you think they want, and trying to become that.”
