The Natvral Shares “Sun Blisters” As Lead Single From Upcoming Solo LP
Formerly performing as the singer/songwriter of The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, Kip Berman has officially announced his debut solo effort Tethers, out April 2nd, under the moniker The Natvral. Shifting from his indie pop beginnings, Berman finds an articulate and robust indie folk rock swagger on his lead single “Sun Blisters”.
As a parent of two young children, Berman has grown increasingly aware and introspective about the changing pace of life; not only in himself, but the others around him, too. On his new single “Sun Blisters”, he spends too much time in the sun, enjoying things outside the confines of moderation, something is surprisingly more consistent than expected. He explains, “It’s a song about how you don’t always want what’s for the best– and neither do I“.
That carefree attitude and enjoyment comes through on the summery festival-ready track, as Berman plays with the jangling rhythms of Americana against the warm indie rock roots of his new suburban home.
