Scottish Pop Punk Outfit WRTHLESS Share Video For “Dislike”

Glasgow-based emo/pop punk 5-piece WRTHLESS dropped their debut self-titled EP back in 2020, not letting the obstacles of COVID get in their way of putting out new music. Keeping the momentum alive and well, the group have shared the melodic pop punk track “Dislike” and its music video.

“‘Dislike’ is one of the first songs we had written before COVID and it was also one of the first songs we had written with Connor (guitarist) after he joined the band”, vocalist Jordan Daly shares. “It has a lot more hard-hitting and personal themes that we don’t usually go into. It comes from a place of low self-esteem and just not caring about yourself. Waiting for opportunities to arise rather than going out to create them for yourself. This is something we feel everyone goes through a lot more than people care to admit.”

Combining the lively chord progressions and uptempo energy of pop punk with scattered moments of polymath rhythms and riffs of post-hardcore, “Dislike” is a raw and captivating next chapter of WRTHLESS’ discography. The accompanying music video plays into the group’s deprecating personality as they have some fun before calling themselves out for “being fucking lazy”.
