Beirut-based Artist Maro Tries To Change His Ways With “Heart To Spare”
20 year old Lebanese rising star and songwriter Maro has shared his new single “Heart To Spare”, written about not wanting to fall in love after a heartbreak. The candid, heart-on-his-sleeve pop song brings out his effortless vocals and charming bedroom pop influences.
Former SNL music producer andBillboard-topping producer Jared Schraff took on responsibilities for “Heart To Spare”, putting his vast pop influences into the twinkling instrumentation and lush, boy-band style production.
About the song, Maro shares, “In the moment I was writing Heart To Spare, I wanted to describe the feeling of not wanting to catch feelings again with the same girl, but every time I’m close to moving on she just hops right back into my life…it’s like one of those video games where you have 3 hearts and if you end up losing them all you’ll have to restart from the beginning , and I don’t wanna get to that”.
