Little Simz Releases Striking Music Video For New Single “Introvert”; LP Out This Fall
Little Simz returns to announce her new album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert is due September 3rd via Age 101, and is the first full length from Simz since her critically-acclaimed, Mercury Prize nominated 2019 record GREY Area.
Album opener and lead single “Introvert” sets the tone for the new collection, as the UK artist shifts into a thrilling new phase of sound. The essay style performance mixes in red-hot political raps with poised spoken word verses. Cinematic string and marching percussion fills the space with a striking power, before Little Simz pushes forward with powerful verses about being a Black woman in today’s society.
Sometimes I Might Be Introvert also follows Simz’ starring role in Netflix’s cult British drug-dealer drama Top Boy. Executive-produced by Drake, Simz plays one of the show’s lead actors as single mother Shelley. She is set to reprise the role in the forthcoming season, which is currently being filmed.
