Poté Shares Mental Health-Focused Single “Stare”; Announces New Album

Paris-based musician Poté officially announced his new album A Tenuous Tale of Her will be out June 4th, the debut release on Bonobo’s new imprint OUTLIER. Having already shared the lead single “Young Lies” which featured Damon Albarn, Poté has dropped the latest single “Stare” from the record. Drenched in his avant-garde delivery and electronica influences, the new single is an emotive and self-reflective piece that explores his personal experiences with mental health and the vicious cycle of anxiety and paranoia, “where we feel there’s no escape, no space to breathe”.  

His stark and echoing vocals acts as a partitioning segment between club-ready electronic breakdowns, switching between sombre and dynamic almost seamlessly. His Caribbean upbringing and European surroundings clash in the song’s rhythms and samples, providing an exciting and compelling taste of what will come on A Tenuous Tale Of Her.
