UK Electro-Pop Duo Telemarkk Share Dua Lipa Inspired Hit “Bloom”
Southampton, UK, based indie-pop duo Telemarkk have released their optimistic new single “Bloom”. Designed for summer playlists and warm weather, the ’80s inspired track pulls from the synth-wave days of the past with more contemporary revivalists such as Dua Lipa, Tame Impala, and Roosevelt. Written as a boost of positivity, “Bloom”, as the band puts it: “resembles holding on to positives in negative situations, particularly felt throughout the pandemic when dealing with isolation”. As lockdowns continue to put a strain on relationships and friendships, the feeling of falling out of touch becomes a brightly coloured component of the track.
Contrasting the looming insecurities and negativity from the pandemic’s impact on real life, “Bloom” is an uplifting and dance-ready piece that helps to usher away all of life’s worries (while also bringing a few to light). With their debut EP set to be released later this year, the UK duo are making sure to lead up to the event with an infectious spirit and an “absorbing sonic experience”. Hitting the mark on “Bloom”, Telemarkk are an exciting act not to be missed.
