Vienna-based Indie Artist Eyht Falls Out Of Love On New Electro-Pop Single “Away”
Self-described human-hybrid (half from Earth, half from space), Vienna-based producer/songwriter Eyht (pronounced ‘8’) turns his eccentric “upbringing” (read about it in his Spotify bio) into upbeat and exciting electro-pop music, this time leaning into his human half for a moombaton-inspired hit “Away”. Symbolizing a relationship on its last legs, “Away” focuses on the problems and hesitations that arise from growing apart. The song’s relatability and dance-ready appeal makes it an alluring and enjoyable track, despite its heavy inspiration.
About the song, Eyht shares:“’Away’ is an insight into two people’s different perception of the same problem. It’s about how in any kinds of relationships we often feel like we’re not being heard when in fact we just don’t share our feelings openly and hide behind our own made-up mask. For a long time, I was the type of person to do that myself. I used to make up stories in my head, spending so much time wondering about what the other person might think until I came to the realization that I won’t know their story or point of view at all unless I just ask. Over the years, I caught myself making exactly this mistake way too often and I think that especially nowadays, when social media and texting sometimes seem easier than just talking face-to-face, people will relate to this topic really well“.
