Norwegian Pop Artist Hanne Mjøen Falls Out Of Love In New Video “Hell With You”

Previously featured on a From the Inbox round-up, Norwegian pop artist Hanne Mjøen has shared the new music video for her single “Hell With You”. Channeling the striking electro-pop flare of Robyn with the sultry vocal style of MØ, Mjøen delivers an electrifying studio performance on the new track that is brought to life in the dichotomous music video.

About the song Hanne Mjøen shares: “I created ‘Hell With You’ to describe falling out of love while being in a relationship. You want to leave knowing this isn’t “it” for you, but you’re scared of being alone, and not ready to give it up. I think we’ve all been there, knowing it’s wrong and unfair to the other person, you still want to live the lie a little longer. You end up liking how it looks even when it’s hopeless, and not knowing what to do, because you don’t even know if you’ll be able to fall in love again“.

Exploring the back and forth dynamic of “good girl” vs. “bad girl”, the new music video for “Hell With You” gives off playful visual cues to the multi-sided personality of the song. About the inspiration she adds, “For the “Hell With You” video, we wanted to create two sceneries with “Heaven” and “Hell”, and play around with “good girl” vs “bad girl” in the different scenes, outfits and looks. Keeping the same attitude towards the relationship in both worlds shows that no matter if it looks like heaven, it still feels like hell.”

Red lighting alternates between bright settings as Mjøen moves through the final stages of a relationship, soundtracked by her upbeat and energizing electro-pop style. Watch below:
