Solo Hardcore Act AFTERMYFALL Shares New Double-Single ‘The Sound of Static’
Solo metalcore act AFTERMYFALL released a new double single The Sound of Static this week. Addressing his mental health on the new effort, the two tracks hold nothing back as he unleashes his throat-searing screams and pummelling instrumentation. Opening with the progressive hardcore track “Run For the Exit”, AFTERMYFALL dives into his struggle with agoraphobia, turning the emotionally-driven song into a ferocious and multi-dimensional piece. Without missing a beat, “Ten of Swords” follows quickly behind, as the brutal guitars and percussion add a wall of aggression that blocks in AFTERMYFALL’s experience with depression. When writing the single, AFTERMYFALL shared that the aggressive, loud intensity of the track is his method of ‘venting’ out all the stress and depression he fills his mind with; letting it out helps him—“It feels good to talk about it,” he says. Rounded out by his melodic hardcore songwriting and stellar production, The Sound of Static is a barrelling addition to the underground hardcore scene.
