The Bots Announce First Album In Seven Years With New Skateboarding Video For “See It”
After finding success in the adolescents through his music, Mikaiah Lei spent the world travelling and touring as he breached into adulthood. Following his 2014 album Pink Palms, Lei reset and stepped away from releasing new music as The Bots. Seven years later, he has returned, set to release his new album 2 Seater on September 8th through Big Indie Records. Serving as a time capsule of sorts, the new record was written back when Lei was between the ages of 19 and 22, and has been re-recorded to step back into his young adulthood as he highlights the trials and tribulations of trying to find work, love, and one’s self.
Leading the way is the new single “See It” and its skateboard music video. Shot in his native Los Angeles, the clip’s youthful and carefree energy matches the song’s repeating manta of “I’ll believe it when I see it”, as they save the future for later and enjoy the realness of “the now”. Soundtracked by crunchy guitars and blistering percussion, “See It” is an impulsive and lively release.
