Introducing: Neo-Disco Septet All Day Breakfast Café Share Empowering Debut Single “Old School Struggling”
South London all-female disco act All Day Breakfast Café have officially made their debut with the grinding new single “Old School Struggling”. The big band project incorporates a well-rounded lineup, including alto sax, trumpet, flute, and the usual suspects of guitar, bass, drums, and vocals to create lively and energizing tunes fresh from the UK underground scene.
Revitalizing the old school hustle of the ’70s disco scene, All Day Breakfast Café are turning the chasing of a pay cheque into groovy dance rhythms and blaring horn sections. Bringing back to the early disco legends Earth, Wind & Fire and Chaka Khan, as well as incorporating hints of jazz influenced by Ella Fitzgerald and Art Blakey, the soulful and stress-relieving powers of music accentuate the song’s message of sticking to your guns and grinding it out.
“Old School Struggling” will be on the group’s upcoming debut EP Builder’s Brew (a play on Miles Davis’ iconic Bitches Brew) out this fall, and ADBC are slated to perform at a handful of upcoming festival
