French Electro-pop Act Blow Share New Single “One Life” From Upcoming LP
French electronic pop band BLOW return today with new single “One Life”, the second cut to emerge from the Parisian trio’s upcoming sophomore album Shake The Disease, out later this year. Written during last year’s lockdown, the song explores the challenges of staring down your 30s as the world continues to become more and more unpredictable and unsettling.
Shifting into a more textured and electronic sound, Blow dip into the world of hip-hop on the new single, with a dense, grooving bass line building the foundation for frontman Quentin Guglielmi’s voice to ring over in a sweet, tenor croon against budding synthesizers and guitar tones. Challenging the uncertainity of the day-to-day world, the band released a statement alongside “One Life”: “We are a shredded humanity, laughing about the sky and the trees. Withstanding time with darkness in our mind. Time goes by but madness persists. Only the abyss remains green. Even the wise are absurd“.
