Electro-Pop Act Tora Share New Video For “Call On Me” From Upcoming LP Out This Fall

Australian electro-pop band Tora put out their new single and music video “Call On Me”, their third track from the upcoming album A Force Majeure out September 3rd. While the group are originally from Byron Bay, they relocated in early 2020 to Amsterdam to launch their tour, but were quickly limited to a strict lockdown instead, resulting in an eight month writing session for the band’s third album.

With a dark, psychedelic demeanour, “Call On Me” fuses together dripping electronica and indie pop hooks, creating a strangely mysterious yet inviting presence. Partnered by a feel-good, colourful video directed by Bob Sizoo & Najim Jansen, the band said of the track: “’Call On Me’’ is a study of fictional characters pursuing each other whilst trapped within a town or place that feels hostile. The looping of days becoming nights with little to break the monotony, still not able to connect despite the time to do so. The chorus is the release of this feeling, exploring the dichotomy between feeling trapped in a mood or place and then having your location or freedom liberate you. New places, people and landscapes providing perspective to a cloudy mind.”
