Lawrence – Don’t Lose Sight

New York City brother-sister soul-pop duo Lawrence are back with another colourful track and lively music video, with Don’t Lose Sight. Their new album Hotel TV is out July 23rd and the band will be heading on tour this fall.


Maisie Peters – Psycho

British pop star Maisie Peters continues her ascent to stardom with the glorious new pop tune “Psycho”. Complete with a music video to fit the mood, Peters gets a little too into a new relationship on the track.


Issey Cross – M40 (Love Me Now)

London-based indie pop artist Issey Cross wrote her new single “M40 (Love Me Now)” as a way to cope with a long distance relationship. The glossy electronic single pours her longing into crisp beats and lush production.


James Vincent McMorrow – Paradise

Despite pushing his album release date to September, James Vincent McMorrow is still providing feel-good content while the summer is still rolling through. Heading to the skate park, McMorrow straps on his roller skates for the new music video for previously released single “Paradise”.


Liz Lawrence – Down For Fun

With her new album The Avalanche dropping September 17th, UK indie rock artist Liz Lawrence has shared her new music video for “Down For Fun”. Stemming from her experience as a teenager feeling that her environments were overly male dominated, “Down For Fun” is an encouraging anthem to make space and open up the options within subcultures and countercultures.


L’FREAQ – Gimmick

Los Angeles-based dark-pop artist L’FREAQ wrote “Gimmick” after a draining audition with a singing show back in 2019. After a judge had called her act “gimmicky”, the track is a regaining of her power and confidence with a touch of tongue-in-cheek to pull herself back up.


Almand x SAMME x emlyn – Give Me More

Buffalo-based DJ/producer Almand and Mexican producer SAMME joined forces for their collaborative EP Mend Things. Released back on July 2nd, the 3-track collection features the EDM-pop hit “Give Me More” featuring vocalist emlyn for a summery anthem.


Claptone ft. James Vincent McMorrow – Wake Up

Mysterious masked DJ Claptone has shared his latest single from his third album Closer, out November 12th. With a handful of collaborations on the track list, the record is introduced by “Wake Up”, featuring James Vincent McMorrow. Bringing together ’90s UK garage and modern EDM pop, McMorrow’s rustic voice adds a soulful element to the track, while the accompanying music video keeps things oddly lighthearted, telling the tale of a man struck by lightning seven times.


Mona San – So Who Are You?

French producer Mona San dropped his new EP Brain Child on July 2nd, which included the glitch-trap single “So Who Are You?”. Inspired by the likes of 100Gecs, Flume, and Bassnectar, the new single is a textured and punchy future house track with plenty of detailing to go around.


Chicano Batman – Dark Star

LA-based funk act Chicano Batman released two new singles last week, including the new “Dark Star” and its music video. The driving single brings out the group’s best qualities, with its steady, churning funk percussion and groovy bass lines, while the surreal music video adds an unexpected psychedelic element.


CimplyDan – South Side Livin’

Florida-based artist CimplyDan shares his trials and tribulations of living in the South with his chill-pop single “South Side Livin'”. CimplyDan talks about his relationship woes and the struggles he’s had with toxic women that have left him with a terrible yet wonderful feeling at the end of the day. 


allie – ETYG

Nashville-based songwriter allie will be releasing their debut full-length Maybe Next Time on August 27th. From the release is the melancholic lead single “ETYG” (Even Though You’re Gone), as allie dives into themes of love and identity on the crescendoing emo-rock tune.


Amindi – nwts

Neo-soul artist Amindi shares a new song from her forthcoming debut EP, nice, out July 28th. Compiling together pounding drums, subtle hooks, and Amindi’s sugar coated vocals, “nwts” is an empowering yet chill anthem. It also comes alongside an announcement that Amindi will be presenting an innovative live album experience with OkiDoki on July 15th. During the event, fans will be able to see Amindi perform the EP for the first time and to interact with visual stories that bring her words to life via animations from artists behind novel works, such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Gumby, and Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken.


Natty Reeves x Poppy Daniels – Snakes In the Grass

Brighton-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Natty Reeves has sahred his new single “Snakes in the Grass” from his upcoming album Our Time, out this August. Featuring trumpeter Poppy Daniels, the latest single is a smooth cut with a sultry, Latin-infused jazz swing.


loser supreme x aquakultre – Hitwoman

Halifax-based producer and songwriter loser supreme teamed up with fellow East Coast artist Aquakultre for the soulful new single “Hitwoman”. Deeply inspired by Prince and D’Angelo, the new track is a vintage tribute that came together in 24 hours over Instagram.


Kaky – La Flemme

French multi-instrumentalist and artist Kaky returns with another gripping and lyrically-driven track about the world around him. On “La Flemme” (laziness), an up-tempo track in which he jokingly sings about how tiring our hyper-connected city lives can be, and how lazy one can feel in this frenetic context. The track comes together with a quirky music video shot with a 360° camera and directed by Kaky.


John Orpheus – IG

Trinidad-born, Toronto-based artist and author John Orpheus will be releasing his new album Saga King on July 30th. Linked to his memoir “Saga Boy”, out now, the two are linked by John Orpheus’ unique story. From the album is the new single “IG”, as Orpheus dives into the control of social media and staying true to yourself despite the distractions.


Haviah Mighty ft. Grandtheft – Avocado

Toronto’s Haviah Mighty is turning fruit into metaphors on her new single “Avocaod”. Produced by Grandtheft, the song is about “faking it til you make it”, using the stiff, impenetrable exterior of an avocado for the facade of someone soft and malleable on the inside. Leaning more into her vocals on the new track, Haviah shows off her versatility as an artist and rapper.


Little Simz – I Love You, I Hate You

From her upcoming album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, out September 3, Little Simz has shared her gut-wrenching new track “I Love You, I Hate you”. Based by her unresolved issues with her absent father, the new track hits hard with its real and raw lyricism and her unflinching performance.


Common ft. PJ – Imagine

Academy Award, GRAMMY and Emmy award-winning artist, Common, released his new single “Imagine” featuring PJ. Coming from a place of positivity and respect, the new single is about creating the right places and finding the right people to inspire happiness.


Dakota Bear – Setbacks

Saskatoon-born, Vancouver-based Indigenous hip-hop artist and activist Dakota Bear releases new visuals for his single “Setbacks”, produced by BeatsCraze. “Setbacks” boasts a powerful performance from Dakota Bear as he controls the commanding track about the injustices against Indigenous people.


Treasure Bloom – Stay Safe

UK-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Treasure Bloom (fka Treasure) has shared his genre-fusing single “Stay Safe”. Inspired by the BBC series “The Serpent”, the tracks is an anthem about self-protection, borrowing hints of Frank Ocean and James Blake for a dense, crunching R&B single.


Fernie – All My Wishes

Montreal-based indie artist Fernie has shared his heartfelt new single, as he opens up about letting go of the past for what is yet to come.


Arlo Parks – Too Good

From her recent critically-acclaimed debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams, Arlo Parks has shared the colourful new visuals for the track “Too Good”, a flirty and groovy indie pop song about seeing your crush through the best eyes.


Charlotte Dos Santos – Away From You

R&B artist Charlotte Dos Santos has shared her new love song “Away From You”. The song’s groovy, ’70s inspired production complements Dos Santos’ warm, love-struck vocals as things get sultry in the accompanying music video.


Titus Bank – Hide Me Like You Do

Rising indie pop artist Titus Bank wrote his new single with the help of Toronto pop group Valley. “Hide Me Like You Do” is a slow-burning pop ballad about being left behind by a lover and feeling hidden from their life.


Goldpark – My Place

Nashville-based alt-rock trio Goldpark are set to release their debut EP One on August 6th. From the collection is the pop rock single “My Place”, written about coming to terms with the realization that you can be the source of your problems and finding the courage to accept it and find a resolution.

Luke Hemmings – Starting Line

5 Seconds of Sumer lead singer Luke Hemmings has shared the latest effort from his upcoming solo debut album When Facing The Things We Turn Away From, “Starting Line”. The pop rock hit is about relfecting back on one’s youth and trying to remember the good and bad, and thhow it’s human nature to fill in the gaps for ourselves.


Peter Jessy – Daydreaming

Ottawa-based indie singer-songwriter Peter Jessy is putting the finishing touches on his upcoming debut EP. Ahead of the announcement and release, he has shared his new single “Daydream”. Filled with warm ukulele strumming, twinkling bells and whistles, and rounded out by Jessy’s bedroom-pop vocals, the charming tune is about letting your imagination take over from reality.


Future Crib – Most Likely Never Going to Die

Nashville indie quintet Future Crib announced their fourth album Full Time Smile will be out September 10, 2021. Alongside the news, the group have put out their lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek isnlge “Mostly Likely Never Going To Die”, showing the bad’s charming personality as they pretend everyone in their lives are invincible.


Pageants – Where Did The Time Go

Long Beach duo Pageants, real life partners and bandmates Rebecca Coleman and Devin O’Brien, have shared their fourth single “Where Did The Tme Go” from their upcoming album Sun And Settled Days, out July 30th. The sun-kissed lo-fi rock tune is a reflection on the city and the memories scattered throughout during the earlier moments in the musical careers.


Livia & the Rosebuds – Had To

Memphis-based indie songwriter Livia Rose Overton and friend Landon Moore perform as The Rosebuds, bringing emotion to indie pop on their new single “Had To”. The heartbreaking single brings together the world of southern rock, folk, and of course pop, as Livia’s rich vocals lead the way.


Ghostly Kisses – Don’t Know Why

French-Canadian singer songwriter Margaux Sauvé has released her first single of 2021 as Ghostly Kisses with the hauntingly beautiful “Don’t Know Why”. Her delicate and ethereal delivery works in tandem with the gentle piano and guitar arrangement, resulting in a soothing and heartfelt piece about giving in to a separation.


Nother x Grecale – Dance Like An Animal

Italian producer, drummer and composer Nother brought in vocalist Grecale for the serene, futuristic single “Dance Like An Animal”. With a slow build, but huge pay off, “Dance Like An Animal” sweeps you off your feet in the second half.


Nadia Kamrath – Fever Dream

Indie singer-songwriter Nadia Kamrath has shared her latest single from her upcoming debut album, set for release next year. “Fever Dream” is a dreamy ballad that showcases her rich, pop-forward vocals and emotionally-driven songwriting.


Joshua Carter – Under My Skin

Joshua Carter, formerly from P.E.I.-based act Coyote, has shared his latest solo effort “Under My Skin”. Written during the beginning of the lockdown in 2020, the song was a reflection of the time, relying on his stripped down recording space and vast sense of time to delivery something quiet, poignant and strictly his own.


Nico Hedley – Waking Dreams

Queens-based singer-songwriter/bassist Nico Hedley has announced his debut collection of alt-folk rock songs Painterly will be out September 3rd. His patient and steady style comes to light on the lead single “Waking Dreams”, where he pulls from classic country to combine with his emo-rock style folk songwriting, as he dives into his struggles with depression and holding onto the past.


Dude Trips – Gentle

Scottish emo rock group Dude Trips have shared their heartbreaking new video for “Gentle”, off their upcoming EP You Are The Reason I Hate Leaving, out August 6th. A tribute to frontman Shaun Ross’ dog that passed away after 11 years, “Gentle” is a sombre and delicate emo rock song that recounts Ross’ final day with his pet before exploding for a passionate finale.


The Driver Era – Heaven Angel

Alt-pop band THE DRIVER ERA releases their highly anticipated single “Heaven Angel,” their first track ahead of their upcoming sophomore record, expected to release later this year. Brother duo Ross and Rocky Lynch (formerly of R5), have stepped into a moody, drker side of pop on the new track, as they head to an exclusive late night party in L.A. for the accompanying visual.


One Step Closer – Pringle Street

Hardcore punk act One Step Closer have announced their debut album This Place You Know will be out September 24th. From the release is the hard-hitting lead single “Pringle Street”, a gripping and melodic track fused with ’90s emo hardcore and contemporary punk about feeling mentallty and physically stuck.
