Toronto Indie Trio shy kids Share Video Game-Themed Music Video For “oh no!”; Sign To Everything Forever

After meeting through a university talent show, Toronto indie trio shy kids have gone on to release two full-lengths in the last six years, and a handful of singles. The three friends combine their talents as filmmakers and musicians, diving into the world of animation and video direction to fuel their catchy style of indie pop rock. Having recently signed to west coast label Everything Forever, shy kids have shared their latest single “oh no!” and its video game geared music video.

With over 100 video game references made in the music video, their catchy blend of glitchy indie pop comes alive through the characters and the song’s allusions to video game culture. Choppy drum beats, flashy synthesizers, and warm vocal harmonies make for a fun and lively experimental pop tune.

Alongside some new music that is set to be released in the coming year, shy kids are currently working on a feature animated musical they have dubbed “a punk-rock-pixar” film called ‘shylo’.
