Hardcore Act Hollow Heights Release Debut LP; Share Latest Single “Disconnected”
London hardcore band Hollow Heights released their debut album Journeys over the weekend. After meeting in school, the duo began making music as a guitarist and vocalist, and while this is their first release, it will also be their only release as the pair have decided to keep their contribution to the metalcore community to this one album. Alongside the album release, the band have also shared the final single “Disconnected” which serves as the album’s opening song.
Building from a gentle piano melody, the song eventually opens up into a mantra of “time won’t heal these scars” before slamming into a djent riff. Touching on the subject of depression and the struggle with mental illness, the metalcore track keeps pace with bands such as Of Mice & Men and Periphery, as the duo unleash searing vocals and hints of electronic influences into the mix.
