Indie rock trio Ellevator have shared their new, Chris Walla-produced single “Easy”. The exciting, crescendoing structure of the song combines with strong-footed, ethereal vocals for what is best described as if Chvrches were from Hamilton.
The Wonderlands – The Push
Cincinnati indie rock five-piece The Wonderlands released their new album The Push and Pull recently, and while their lead single “The Push” was released earlier this year, the music video and track are an excellent view of the band’s personality and musical charm.
Machinedrum ft. Deniro Farrar – Stone Age
Electronic producer Machinedrum has returned to dipping his toes in the hip-hop territory on his new single “Stone Age” featuring rapper Denior Farrar. Heavily focused on returning to the storytelling era of hip-hop, the new single combines captivating drum loops with effortless flow and lyricism for a soulful and nostalgic feat.
Kam-Bu ft. Knucks – Call Me Back
UK grime artist Kam-Bu dropped his debut EP Black On Black. The South London rapper paired the release date on Friday with his new music video for “Call Me Back” featuring Knucks. Going verse for verse, the latest single is a hard-hitting look into the rising star’s growing discography.
James Blake – Life Is Not The Same
UK electronica artist James Blake is back with another haunting single “Life Is Not The Same”, highlighting his lush R&B balladry and style. With his new album Friends That Break Your Heart set for release September 10th, Blake is remaining consistent with his delivery.
Evan Wright – People
Brooklyn-based artist, Evan Wright has shared his new single “People”, the final preview from his debut record Sound From out The Window which is out on August 25th via Solitaire Recordings. The hazy album opener brings forth a sense of nostalgia and longing, contrasted by a cool, welcoming melody for an emotionally-driven and timid piece.
Dominec Haynes – Lost My Head
With one of the most captivating voices this year, Dominec Haynes has blessed the world with his new single “Lost My Head”. Combining subtitles of soul, funk, blues, and R&B into his sound, Haynes makes sure to leave listeners lost for words.
