Suburb-Emo Act Chastity Unveil New Single “Dying To Live”

From the corners of suburban Whitby, Brandon Williams creates music filled with pent up chaos, urgency, and melody. Alongside his band, Williams performs under Chastity, delivering suburb-emo rock from the outskirts of Toronto. Next in their discography is the melancholic single “Dying To Live” and its nostalgia-filled music video.

On the single, Williams explains, “The title ‘Dying to Live’ was inspired by an old Zero skate video from 2002. The video had the best soundtrack. Nirvana, Slayer, Neil Young – it definitely informed my taste growing up. The song is about the feeling of not being able to live without someone, as though life won’t start again until they’re back again.” 

The roaring basement-rock guitars combines with his patient, articulate vocals for a captivating and emotive piece. Watch below:
