Ghanaian Artist M.anifest Returns To His Hometown For New Music Video “La Vida”

As he gears up to release his fifth studio album and seventh project overall Madina To The Universe (MTTU) later this autumn, international rap artist and award-winning Ghanaian music icon M.ANIFEST is excited to announce his brand new single “La Vida”. Infusing his rich African culture with a glossy R&B energy, the single and music video is an ode to his childhood neighbourhood of Madina.

Speaking about the inspiration behind “La Vida”, M.anifest says, “it is a song I wrote with a mischievous grin. I imagined freeing myself and getting up to no good with a woman I dig with both of us having no care in the world about people, opinions, or rules. It almost felt like I was living vicariously through some of my own memories”.

Bringing the sultry and roguish track to life, M.anifest worked with South African director Adriaan Louw to showcase a day of fun alongside a bewitching partner. About the music video, the Ghanaian star adds that, “we shot it in Madina, which is the neighbourhood in Ghana I grew up in, and the essence was to tap into childhood memories and evoke a feeling of nostalgia”.

The Ghana backdrop brings out a stunning and homegrown charm to the track, highlighting the upbeat African rhythms and summer-filled energy of “La Vida”.
