Brooklyn Chamber-Pop Artist Elly Kace Announces New Album; Unveils Meditative Lead Single “Are You Ready”

During her first European audition tour as an opera singer, Elly Kace had to leave Italy at the start of the pandemic to return to her New York City home. Excited by the prospect of a European career, the sudden change in circumstances left a strong reminder that “there is never any control, ever”. Now back in her Brooklyn apartment, Kace turned to yoga and meditation to help recenter herself and her life, but with her musical career on hold, she still needed a creative outlet.

“I was definitely depressed and sort of intuitively started writing and expressing that as a healing thing for myself,” says Kace. “Mantra is a powerful healing practice because the sounds resonate in our bodies. Music also literally gets in your cells, so I took care that the vocal meditations drove the rest of the writing like a secret medicine. They became a tool for me to literally vibrate each self accepting sentiment into the physical bodies of whoever listens.”

With that in her soul, Kace wrote what would become her newly announced concept album Nothing I See Means Anything. From the release comes the lead single “Are You Ready”, a steady and lush chamber-pop song that allows Kace to break-free from her discipline into a more pop-forward delivery.

Acting as the album’s introduction, “Are You Ready” is a brilliant opening, as Kace’s acrobatic vocals effortlessly instil a sense of peace and ambition through words of affirmation and positivity, blanketed over a pool of captivating and angelic instrumentation.
