Electronic Producer JKuch Shares Latest Single “Cabin Fever” From New Full-Length

Since first sharing his deadmau5 inspired electronic music on Soundcloud back in 2013, Buffalo producer JKuch has gone on to produce a collection of textured, glitchy house tracks. Combining elements of R&B and pop into his sound, JKuch has officially released his debut full-length Specter’s Garden, and shared his latest single “Cabin Fever”.

The idea for “Cabin Fever” first started during the early days of the pandemic in 2020, inspired by being stuck inside for long periods of time and the negativity that ensued. “Seeing the constant increase of the number of deaths caused by this outbreak, I started to realizing the inescapable truth of how we all don’t have a lot of time on this earth, how it’s ultimately up to us to spend it in the way that is authentic and true to ourselves,” he shares. “With this truth suddenly in the air, it reshaped how I saw my music career in the big picture, and sowed together where I really wanted it to go. This track comments on the phase of change I went through during that time and the fear than fans/people would not understand this change. However as I was writing the song, I realized that in the end it really doesn’t matter, because as the lyrics go, “I only got this life, there’s no more wasting time”.

Through controlled chaos, JKuch creates a feverish field of sound and texture, making space for his R&B croon to glide above a glitchy and punchy production sequence. Combining his soothing vocals with a clustered beat, the metaphor of cabin fever comes to life as overpowering waves of sound intersect with calming pop verses, inspired by the likes of Flux Pavilion, Flume, and Mat Zo.
