Los Angeles Singer-Songwriter Raj Jain Unveils Debut Single As Jane. With “Ingenue”

LA indie singer/songwriter Jane., the new project moniker of Raj Jain, has released his debut single “Ingenue”. A warm combination of dream-pop, shoegaze, and folk come together on the track, as Jain explores the concept of loneliness. Written during a time of complete isolation, the limited interaction from the outside world and others becomes the driving force of the track.

“It’s a song of loneliness but there’s a joy in the loneliness”, he explains. “It’s kind of about wanting to be wanted. There’s an understanding on why the antagonist’s interest is elsewhere, but I’m still craving her attention.”

Slow-burning, but with a welcoming sense of hope, “Ingenue” shines a light on the brighter side of being alone and admiring from afar. Listen below:
