Norwegian Alt-Folk Artist Evran Shares Spellbinding New Single “Birds Of Stone”
Having returned from a year long hiatus, which included writing, producing, and a feature on the Norwegian The Voice, Bergen-based musician and songwriter Evran is set to release his debut EP A Perfect Day in 2022 with a full-length to follow up later in the year. From the release is his new single “Birds of Stone”, showcasing his ethereal ambient-folk style influenced by the likes of Bon Iver, Radiohead, and Coldplay.
Having always been shy about his songwriting abilities, it wasn’t until 2018 when Evran broke the self-destructive loop of hiding his music. “Birds of Stone” is from his early batch of songs, as he began to open up and share his music with the world. Inspired by four chords and a fever dream, “Birds of Stone” matches together dreamy guitar lines with haunting vocals as he sings, “Letting go of everything when the daylight shines on all of us” with each chorus.
