Indie Pop Singer-Songwriter Jak Lizard Shares Brasstracks Collaboration “Callin’ Me”
NY indie pop singer-songwriter and self-declared “poptimist” Jak Lizard shared his new single “Callin’ Me”, which was co-produced by soul duo Brasstracks. Equal parts energizing, carefree, and catchy, “Callin’ Me” and its accompanying visual show the lighter side of Jak and his music, featuring clever “cameos” of headlining names from Quincy Jones, Andre 3000, Elon Musk, and more alongside his bouncing soul-pop style.
Jak shares, “Callin Me was written with Brasstracks in an attempt to manifest every possible great moment that could happen to an artist in one song. I view it as the ultimate mood boosting, positive affirmation day starter anyone could use to try and end up in a better place than they started. It’s all fake bravado; none of these moments have happened to me yet, but how are they going to if I don’t even try to speak or rather sing them into existence?”
Bouncing guitar riffs, a slick R&B-tinged croon, and positivity for days, “Callin’ Me” is a musical catalyst for a better day.
