Derry-Based Singer-Songwriter ROE Calls Out Social Pressure On Candid Single “Too Much For Anyone”

Emerging singer-songwriter ROE has been making waves with her charming vocal style and honest lyricism. Hailing from Derry, Northern Ireland, the 22 year old musician has shared her latest single “Too Much For Anyone”, in collaboration with singer-songwriter Ciaran Lavery. Following on from the release of “Destroyer” ROE and Ciaran Lavery complete their collaboration with the second half of their new double A-Side with “Too Much For Anyone”, exploring themes of social pressure and duality, hidden as a catchy indie pop tune.

“‘Too much for anyone’ was written about the overwhelming pressure of trying to be a good person and acceptance of how we can’t change what happens around us no matter how desperately we want to“, ROE shares.

“I think we’ve really fucked it this time” opens the song, taking no time to bring listeners into her candid songwriting style. Without slowing down, the song is a breath of fresh air as the reality of being human is dished out.
