Italian Future House Producer Comakid Releases New Single “This Place”
Italian future house producer Comakid is gearing up to release his new EP Full HD Hugs this spring. Ahead of the drop, Comakid has shared his second single “This Place”, featuring vocalist Port Limbo. Crisp, choppy, and dreamy, “This Place” is a textured and R&B-tinged release that focuses on transforming wobbling synthesizers and UK garage-inspired percussion into late-night melodies.
About the single, Comakid comments: “The track aims to be an internal monologue, a stream of consciousness the protagonist’s having with himself, analysing his thoughts and how he perceives the reality surrounding him. The track evokes a sense of lightness, space, openness and air albeit staying well anchored to its heavy and deep rhythmical foundations.
The vocals and lyrics are by Port Limbo and this track is the most recent of many occasions I had the privilege to collaborate with him; since the uni days he’s been one of my best music mates and he’s still to this day a great source of inspiration, despite living on the other side of the globe“.
