Welsh Singer-Songwriter Bryde Shares Introspective New Single “Silver Suns (divine)”
Since embarking on a solo career back in 2018, Welsh singer-songwriter Bryde (aka guitarist and vocalist Sarah Howells), has released two full-lengths and hit the road. Finding success on her own time, her latst single “Silver Suns (divine)” showcases her strengths as a songwriter and performer, and hints at an upcoming third full-length.
With nods to the likes of Cat Power, Sufjan Stevens, and Tori Amos, Bryde makes a strong impact with her stunning and delicate vocals, this time in a meditative 6/4 time signature as she explores the sacredness of love.
“Divine love, for me, is a non-judgemental love. Silver Suns is about reflecting and growing within the safety of that.” says Howells. “I wanted it to be a beacon of hope in all the darkness of recent times”.
With a patient and trickling piano melody as her foundation, the lush folk tune gradually swells with passion and emotion, for a soul-touching effort.
