Rising Romanian Electro-Pop Star Alessiah Shares New Video For “Nostalgia”

Recent Universal Music signee Alessiah has released a handful of singles and EPs since emerging onto the pop scene back in 2018. Continuing to evolve her sound, the young artist has returned with her latest effort “Nostalgia”. Despite its name, the song carries a futuristic electronic power, as she merges influences of Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, and Zedd into her sound.

About her new song, Alessiah said: “‘Nostalgia’ is a very special song to me, as it represents a follow-up of the message that I wanted to convey through the singleI Know, released in 2020. However, this time, the lyrics are more balanced and mature. The inspiration behind the song is the single I Know, but also the present. It talks about the back in time effect; the present is, actually, the projection of the nostalgia that we are going to feel in the future, when we look back at the moments we are experiencing right now. When I wrote this track’s lyrics, I realised that the issues I was dealing with while writing I Know were solved through patience, consistency, and a lot of hard work. To me, the song Nostalgia is defined by balance and it represents a personal milestone, as I was able to compare the past to the present and I was proud of all the things I have managed to accomplish so far.”
