Electronic Duo The Private Language Share First Release Of the Year With “Afterglow”
Blake Lewis and KJ Sawka originally crossed paths in the Seattle underground hip-hop and rave scene, and after becoming fast friends and building careers of their own, the pair formed their new electronic project The Private Language. Combining their talents – Lewis, a pop vocalist, and Sawka, a producer and percussionist – The Private Language is a rhythmic and charismatic project that brings out the relatability of pop music with the movement and euphoria of electronica.
On their new single “Afterglow”, the pair use minimalistic chord progressions to lead into textured and captivating production, finding a balance between ’00s underground electronica and festival-ready EDM.
