Dutch Alt Rockers De Staat Release New Multi-Track Colourful Collection

After capping off 2021 with a new streaming-focused collection, Dutch alt-rock veterans De Staat have added to the bulked up release with three more colour coordinated releases. Adding to their yellow, red, and blue releases, the band have shared “One Day” (blue), “Who’s Gonna Be the GOAT” (yellow), and “Paying Attention” (red)”. About the series, the band explains:

“How does it work? It’s all there in the music. Red, for tracks fueled by rock and roll aggression; yellow, for funk, dancing and primal joy; blue for big-scale melodic rock songs that wear their heart on their sleeve”.

In lieu of an album release, the band, lead by frontman Torrre Florim, will be dropping handfuls of singles throughout 2022, starting with this new series. Despite the risk of coming off overwhelming or saturated, the band manage to find a compelling and engaging quality across each single. Fusing together funk, hip-hop, alt-rock, and arena-sized rock, De Staat continue their upward trend of creating massive-sounding tracks that demand being replayed.
