Portland Indie Artist Dana Buoy Shares New Single “When It’s You I See” From Forthcoming LP Out May 13

Portland-based artist and former Akron/Family drummer Dana Buoy has shared “When It’s You I See”, the latest single to be lifted from his forthcoming album Experiments in Plant-Based Music: Vol. I out May 13 via Everloving Records.

Inspired by his wild collection of house plants and his home drum kit, the new collection incorporates fluorescent tones and ’60s pop elements of woodwind and horn sections. The new single is an exemplary nod to his warm-spirited musicality, as he sings about a friend. Dana explains, “This is a song for Henry. A young one whom I adore, and will always be there for as he continues to grow and discover the wonders of nature.”

Melody, psychedelics, and jazzy grooves help the song gradually blossom into a garden of horns, percussion, and sunlight.
