South Cali Post-Hardcore Act Dayseeker Drop New Video For “Neon Grave”

Southern California’s Dayseeker have shared a new song and video for their latest single, “Neon Grave.” The deeply personal track represents the first new material from the band since their 2019-released fourth album Sleeptalk

The track almost immediately jumps into heavy guitar, vocals following close behind. The crashing chorus echoes the opening guitar, with passionate lyrics of longing and loss.“”Neon Grave”” is about my father passing in July of last year,” says singer Rory Rodriguez. “It’s about my relentless desire for heaven and earth to collide into one another so I can see him again.”

The video echoes the feeling of isolation and loss Rodriguez highlights in the lyrics as he processes the passing of his father – visuals of the band in an empty building and an open, barren landscape give weight to the song’s meaning, culminating with an image of Rodriguez and his father as the final notes fade out.

Dayseeker built themselves into a scene standout with 2019’s Sleeptalk. Dayseeker will return to the road next month on a headline tour where the band will be performing Sleeptalk in its entirety. Dates below.
