Chamber-Pop Artist Klara Goliger Releases Stunning New Single “Sitting On Your Chair”

Within seconds of “Sitting On Your Chair”, the trajectory of the song feels limitless, as chamber pop singer Klara Goliger immediately creates a sense of unplanned opportunity.

At just over four minutes, the stripped back ballad evokes a theatrical vocal performance from the Swedish artist, who is due to deliver her first full length concept record filled with “acoustic sounds, playful storytelling and classic string instruments” later this year. Though sprinkled throughout the track conservatively, I adore the hovering strings and the way they add to that whimsical experience Goliger creates with her words and piano playing. 

The song features a constantly pulsating tension that I believe reaches its climax when we first hear vocal stacks on the backend where Klara Goliger repeatedly asserts “your eyes are always closed” before rejoicing she “can’t wait for them to open”.
