Modern Pop Artist Simco Shares New Video For “DAYLIGHT”
Musician and visual artist Tyler Simco, known by his stage name Simco, has shared his data-shifting music video for his latest single “Daylight”. Heavily influenced by 2000s emo and electro-pop, the song merges chaotic instrumentation and experimental MIDI samples.
Bands like Matt & Kim, Breathe Carolina, and Twenty-One Pilots come to mind with his mix-mash contemporary style.
As for the visual accompaniment, reality-smashing transitions and psychedelic colours turn a bleak country road into a trippy merger of worlds.
About the song, Simco shares: “Daylight is about being so stuck in a rut, rather through addiction or just really unhealthy habits that you start acting like an asshole. And the song is essentially the thoughts going through the narrators mind because he knows he’s being a dick to his loved ones and he’s piecing it together”.
