Estella Dawn Unleashes Colourful New Single “Orange”
In her 4th release of 2022, US based pop artist Estella Dawn brings a burst of glamor on “Orange”. Backed by a progressive gyrating instrumental, the New Zealand native continues to capture “life as a mid 20’s woman in a complex, and sometimes overwhelming, world” via her music.
The harmonies that sprout during the acapella rendition of the hook that closes out the track is to me the shining moment of this extremely pleasant listening experience. “You look like sunlight, do you taste like tangerine?” the singer inquires with powerful bravado demonstrating the gorgeous depths of her voice without the backing of distinctly upright bass and muted keys.
