Washington Indie Rock Group Tunnel Play Apathetic On New Single “Lemonhead” From Upcoming Debut EP ‘Vanilla’
Indie rock outfit Tunnel, lead by the incomparable Natasha Janfaza, have shared their new single and video “Lemonhead”. Part of the upcoming debut EP Vanilla, out July 15th, “Lemonhead” is a ’90s-heavy tune that channels influences from across the map – including Alanis Morissette, My Bloody Valentine, and Liz Phair.
With a sustained chorus of “love is boring”, the song gradually digs deeper and deeper with its dense guitar riffs and shoegaze fuzz, as Janfaza’s voice continues to lean into her apathetic style. There’s an indescribable appeal to her charged tone and delivery, that matches effortlessly with the band’s whirring instrumentation.
