Kawartha Lakes Indie Rock Group Heaps Head To The Good Ol’ Days For New Single “Didn’t Matter Anyway”

Ahead of their upcoming EP Little Blue, out July 22nd, Kawartha Lakes indie rock group Heaps have shared their new single “Didn’t Matter Anyway”. Born and raised in the cottage country of southern Ontario, the group bring with them a sunny disposition, as the three friends revisit their youth on their new release.

“‘Didn’t Matter Anyway’ came from an afternoon playing basketball on the broken-down outdoor court of our old elementary school”, shares the band. “Retracing the day to day of our youth, realizing how small everything looks now, years removed. Thinking about how we apply that same scale to the problems we had then. Wondering if that’s healthy or just easy. We’re feeling so small, feeling just fine“.

Finding a refreshing sense of clarity and nostalgia, the band combine dreamy ’90s pop guitar tones with an infectious chorus hook that glazes over with a sonic warmth.
